This firm, wonderfully textured cheese has crisp light herbal notes, and it matches perfectly with a typical light or blonde lager. One such lager is the German helles style, denoting a light, bright lager with muted hops. This inviting, easy-drinking beer dances with the flavours and texture of the cheese, making for a harmonious, balanced flavour that is lightly earthy with sweet cereal/grain qualities. A very nice match. In Ontario, Wellington Brewery's Helles Lager is a good pairing.
