As our name suggests, Black River Cheese was first established along the banks of the picturesque Black River, on the outskirts of Picton, in Ontario’s historic Prince Edward County.

Since 1901, as one of the county’s first original cheese houses, the expertise and devotion of our local farmers and cheesemakers have shone through in everything we do.

Today, we’re still farmer-owned and just as committed to using only the best natural, local ingredients. Because of this, Black River Cheese is renowned for our passionate dedication and finest quality cheese.
