With its creamy, salty, smoky flavours and buttery texture, this cheddar has the complex aged qualities that create delicious flavours when paired with beers of similar complexity and heft. A Marzën has distinct malty qualities, slightly sweet with a nice bitter finish. They are often a bit earthy too, which is nice with the smoke.
